School holiday fun

Families enjoyed listening to stories and making a ‘Wishing Star’ in the first week of the holidays at Paraparaumu, Ōtaki and Waikanae Library

Some of the wishes:

‘I wish for a licky dog’
‘I wish for a Wii’
‘I wish my cat starts being better at NOT catching mice’
‘I wish I had a magic wand’
‘I wish for a new laptop that doesn’t break’
I wish I could be a ballerina’
Levity Beet delighted children with his funky music and story telling at Ōtaki, Paraparaumu and Waikanae Libraries during the holidays.

Kaye recommends: Nanny Piggins - R A Spratt

Nanny Piggins, the world's most glamorous flying pig, runs away from the circus and goes to live with the Greens as their nanny. Humorous in the style of Lemony Snicket. An enjoyable read.
